I came to Cambodia in 2018 to work as a multimedia journalist and editor. I have produced audio and written stories for local and international outlets including The Phnom Penh Post, National Public Radio's Weekend Edition, New Naratif, South China Morning Post, and VOD. My journalism work has allowed me to cover labor disputes, arts and culture stories, public health outbreaks, threats to online freedom of expression, and more.
Along with my journalism work, I also serve as the in-house editor for Future Forum, a Cambodian independent public policy think tank. My writing workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and editorial support help young Cambodian researchers to gain the skills they need to share their big ideas with the general public through evidence-based, persuasive commentaries.
Outside of my work as a writer and editor, I am also a visual artist. I make textile-based cyanotypes inspired by Phnom Penh's urban landscape.
